Original order placed on 2 April. The original order was delayed by 2-3 weeks while new stock was arriving.

My expectation when paying greater than retail pricing for Hotwheels cars is at the very least, a brand new fresh case. Not only was the case opened, it looks as if it had been sent out/used/returned. The cars/cards inside were damaged...and anything of worth had been intentionally omitted.

Adam from customer service was very accomodating in arranging an exchange, but ultimately, the extra effort on my part to return the case, along with now an additional 2-3 week wait for new stock to arrive, means that what should have been a pretty straightforward transaction, will be 2 months in the making.

I don't know if my expectations are skewed, but i've paid $2.60 for cars that I can go down to kmart and buy for $2 each. I know there is a lot of excitement around Hotwheels and Toys in general, but if this is a matter of "pickers" at the warehouse going through and scalping the unique cars, then I couldn't trust to order through Mattel Australia again.

I sure do hope that the exchange order doesn't disappoint any further!
